You do not need to have gardening experience. Some volunteers like to work on a particular zone of the Garden whereas others move well-nigh and work on variegated areas each week. The work is unstipulated gardening – digging, weeding, transplanting up etc.Unstipulatedvolunteering takes place on a Wednesday morning from 10.00am to 12.00. Just turn up. Come withal to the Gardens just surpassing 10am on Wednesdays – tideway from the Thompson Road gate, walk past the South Lodge and enter the “behind the scenes” gate next to the toilet block. The team will be in the large greenhouse. Tools are provided. There is no transferral to come every Wednesday. Wear towardly suit for the weather, including sturdy footwear and gardening gloves. You may wish to bring a flask and a snack for a short unravel virtually 11am. FOBS’ members siphon out a variety of fundraising activities such as plant growing and selling at plant sales. There is a thriving section making and selling merchandising such as cards, tea towels and mugs. There are other volunteering opportunities such as helping with the Children’s University activities.
